We are seeking a dedicated HGV Class 1 Driver to join our team based at our head office, Nutts Corner. This role has a variation of work involving walking floors and ejectors and curtain side trailers. There is also availability for nights out when required.
You will play a vital role in our logistics operations by ensuring timely and safe delivery to our customers, and our sites.
Responsibilities
- Safely operate Class 1 (Category C+E) vehicles in accordance with all road traffic laws and company policies.
- Complete daily vehicle checks and report any defects promptly.
- Load, secure and unload goods safely, ensuring compliance with load restraint regulations.
- Conduct walks around the vehicle before and after each journey to ensure roadworthiness.
- Maintain cleanliness and general appearance of vehicle.
- Adhere to all health and safety procedures, including safe loading, unloading and manual handling practices.
- Communicate effectively with transport planners, customers, and site employees.
- Ensure compliance with tachograph regulations and maintain accurate driving records.
- Manage fuel usage responsibly and report any incidents, accidents, or traffic violations immediately.
- Represent the company professionally at customer sites and when interacting with members of the public.
Requirements
- Cat C+E driving license
- Certificate of Professional Competence
- Valid Digital Tachograph card
- Minimum 2 years experience
- No more than 6 points on your licence
