What our employees say
I have worked at McKinstry Group since September 2024 and have had many opportunities for professional growth and development. I have benefited greatly from the experience and support of my colleagues while building strong relationships with a fantastic team across the group. I really enjoy working at McKinstry Group as the waste industry is varied and interesting, and as the company continues to grow, it still upholds its supportive, family-oriented culture, which remains central to the business.
Sarah Hamilton, Environmental and Compliance Officer
I’ve been with the company for 30 years, and it’s great to see how much we’ve grown and all the positive changes along the way. The McKinstry Group has always had a strong family culture, and that’s something I’m really proud to be part of.
Jim Greer, Northern Road Waste Transfer Site Manager
I have worked for McKinstry Skip Hire for over 30 years. They are a very good company to work for — uniform provided, your own lorry, no swapping or in and out of vehicles. A very considerate and genuine company to be a part of.
Rodney McCartney, Skip Driver
My 12-year journey is proof that McKinstry is a place where you can truly build a career. I started as a machine driver, working up to nightshift supervisor and now the new MRF supervisor. The amount of experience and skills I’ve been able to learn is the best part of the job, and I am proud to be part of the company’s growth.
Deividas Budginas, MRF Supervisor
